Join Mount Olivet pastors for a snapshot into the life and witness one of the 20th century’s most notable Christian theologians and preachers, Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Surveying some of the defining and rich theological musings and writings of this young German Lutheran pastor (Did you know he only lived to 39 years old?!), and examining how he sought to give clearer definition into how and why faith in Christ orients our thoughts, words, and deeds as Christians, we’ll consider his lasting insight for us still. We’ll also discuss how he became a key founder of the German Confessing Church in opposition to the Nationalist Socialist takeover of country, culture, and church, and his involvement with a plot to kill Hitler which led to his arrest and execution by the Nazis a mere month before the German surrender in World World 2.
