Youth & Adult Choirs
Serving through Song
Joining the Sanctuary Choir or Handbell Choir is a meaningful way for adults to serve during worship while being part of a welcoming musical community. It’s a place to share your gifts — or discover new ones — and build lasting friendships along the way. Our youth choirs provide a unique musical experience where teens build lasting friendships, connect with their church, deepen their faith, and develop their musical skills—all while regularly serving through worship.
Chancel Choir (Middle School)
Chancel Choir provides a unique opportunity for middle school-age youth to explore their faith, build relationships with their peers and their faith community, and develop confidence through singing. Chancel Choir is offered at both the Minneapolis and West Campuses and is an excellent service opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders enrolled in confirmation. Chancel Choir performs during worship several times throughout the year and rehearses on Wednesday evenings 5:45-6:30pm late September through April.

Cathedral Choir (High School)
High school-age singers from many different schools and musical backgrounds join together each week to sing and serve in this special choir that adds youthful energy to our worship services. Cathedral Choir is a musical experience that helps adolescents develop and enrich their own individual faith story. Cathedral Choir, offered at both the Minneapolis and West Campuses, performs during worship most Sundays and rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7pm September through May.

Sanctuary Choir (post-high school and up)
This musical group is a special community within our church family. With a desire to share God’s love through a variety of musical styles, singers are a part of an ensemble that is known for performance excellence and inspirational musical contributions to worship. Sanctuary Choir is offered at both the Minneapolis and West Campuses and sings for the 11am service on most Sundays, September through May. The Thursday evenings rehearsals from 7-8:30pm are packed with quick learning, lots of singing, and much laughter!

Handbell Choir
The Mount Olivet Handbell Choir offers a unique opportunity to be part of a musical ensemble. Interested members with solid musicianship and proficiency in reading music are encouraged to join! You’ll develop rhythm, coordination, and teamwork as each ringer plays an essential part in bringing the music to life. Along the way, you’ll build friendships, strengthen your listening skills, and experience the joy of making music together. Rehearsals are weekly on Thursday evenings from 6-6:45pm. Summer Pop-Up Choirs
During the summer months, Mount Olivet offers opportunities for interested singers to join together and sing for worship. Rehearsals are generally on the Thursday evening before the designated Sunday or on Sunday morning before worship begins. These pop-up choirs are designed to be an enjoyable and fun experience for all who simply want to sing! All are welcome – we hope you will join us!
