Growing in Your Faith
Our youth are not the future of the church; they are the church now! There is no better time or place to instill a sense of Christian purpose, and no time when our youth need more support in navigating the transition to adulthood, than in high school. For this reason, our Hi-League groups offers significant opportunities to grow socially and spiritually in a safe and supportive environment. Our weekly events are held at both campuses and include fun social events, educational nights, service opportunities, and retreats. Our weekly meetings are places of deep learning, sharing, and lots of fun, and they end each night with devotions led by the Youth Staff. You do not need to sign up for events, you can simply show up. Bring your friends – everyone is welcome!
Circle of Friends
Circle of Friends fall 2020 season will be online and we will be working on projects together. We will still be able to strengthen our great connections with each other, albeit for now in a much different way over Zoom.
Circle of Friends is a social based program that partners special needs teenagers from around the metro with high school students from Mount Olivet. We do a variety of activities throughout the year both at Mount Olivet and around the community such as bowling, shopping, games, and dances. From October through April, Circle of Friends meets every Monday from 6:30-8:00pm at the Minneapolis campus. Program space is limited!
Interested in joining or have questions about Circle of Friends contact Annie Moynihan at 612-767-2211 or by email.
MO United fall 2020 season will be online and we will be working on projects to serve the clients at Mount Olivet Rolling Acres and delivering keepsakes that will brighten their day. It is still very important we find a way to support this great group of people, albeit for now in a much different way.
MO United brings Mount Olivet West Hi-Leaguers and Mount Olivet Rolling Acres residents together for community and relationship building activities hosted at the Mount Olivet Rolling Acres Gym. MO United meets for two, 8-week sessions – Fall and Spring. MO United meets on Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:00pm in the Rolling Acres Gym by the West Campus. Regular attendance during the 8 week sessions is required. Volunteers may participate in one or both Fall/Spring sessions. Fall session: Oct/Nov. Spring session: Feb/Mar.
Interested in joining or have questions about MO United contact Anna St. Dennis at 612-767-2279 or by email.
Mount Olivet students ages 9 – 12 grade are encouraged to join M.O. Hoops if you are looking for a fun and competitive intramural basketball league. Holy Hoops is the name of the league Mount Olivet belongs to. All games are played on Sunday afternoons from January – March. Typically we meet at church to travel to our game destination at 12noon and return to Mount Olivet at 4pm.
