Strengthening Parent-Child Connectedness: The most potent protective factor for child and adolescent mental health.
Babies are born needing consistent and responsive care. As they grow, structure and warmth from adults continue to be essential to child and family well-being. Once they become adolescents, kids also especially need their adults to be credible humans who own their weaknesses & mistakes, and can laugh at themselves. In this session, we will talk about these key adult practices essential to sustaining powerfully protective relationships with kids.
