Join us for coffee and conversation, with a presentation on the topic, “If You Didn’t Buy a Ticket, You Haven’t Won the Lottery: Avoiding Online Scams.” Cynthia Child, Senior Community Services, TECH Coordinator and Scott Nelson from Minnesota AARP Resource, will share current and most common online scams, as well as offer practical tips for determining if an inquiry is legitimate.
We’ll also discuss security settings, online risk, how to alert authorities of a suspected scam, and how to file a report if you believe you’ve been taken advantage of by a scam. Also included will be time for questions, with answers provided by Cynthia and Scott.
