The altar guild is here to care for and prepare worship areas. Preparation of Holy Communion; decorating for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; changing liturgical colors; linen duty; and light dusting on chancel and altars.

Poinsettia Chancel Garden
During this special time of year, please consider honoring or remembering a loved one by purchasing a poinsettia to beautify our Sanctuaries during the holiday season. The Poinsettia Chancel Garden is displayed on Christmas Eve through New Year’s Eve. The cost is $30 per Poinsettia. A list of the donor and those remembered or honored will be included in the bulletin on Sunday, December 29, 2019.

The opportunity exists at both the Minneapolis Campus and West Campus to memorialize or honor loved ones by providing flowers for our Sunday worship services.
At the Minneapolis Campus floral arrangements may be designated for the altar, pulpit or lectern in the Main Sanctuary or the altar in the Serley Chapel or Youngdahl Chapel. At the West Campus there is the opportunity for one flower arrangement at the pulpit and one at the lectern. The cost for any flower arrangement is $50.00. To make a payment for an existing flower order please contact Mary Lindberg below.

The pew guild is responsible for care and preparation of pews for worship services. Assist with cleaning under pew cushions, book racks, and replacing pens and offertory envelopes. Great family activity!

Sunday School Teachers
Sunday School teachers strengthen Christian development and faith formation through age-appropriate classroom experiences. They encourage children to learn about God, Jesus, the faith and the world around them. Opportunities are available at the Mpls and West Campus.
You may also volunteer to assist the combined choir and Sunday School classes at the Mpls Campus. Volunteers will provide classroom management / support during choir instruction and will lead a devotion / lesson based on the Sunday School curriculum to the group each Sunday.

Sunday Confirmation Mentors
Teach junior high Confirmation students the basics of our Christian faith, share their faith and commitment to Christ and his church, and encourage student participation in the class and in the church.
Must have a real desire to work with junior high students and the ability to lead.
Care for children while parents attend Sunday worship and other special worship services / events (Stewardship Dinners, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Good Friday Dinner, etc.)
Nursery services are offered at the Mpls and West Campuses at the 9, 10 & 11am.
