DESCRIPTION:Chancel Choir is offered at both the Minneapolis and West Campuses and is an excellent service opportunity for 6th\, 7th\, and 8th graders. Chancel Choir provides a unique opportunity for middle school-age youth to explore their faith\, build relationships with their peers and their faith community\, and develop confidence through singing. Chancel Choir performs during worship several times throughout the year.

Dinner service begins at 4pm. \nThese meals\, free of charge\, are our opportunity to support anyone who needs a meal or time spent with others. DESCRIPTION:Join us on for Neighbor to Neighbor Day on Saturday\, January 10! Our day will start at the Minneapolis Campus with breakfast and devotions. We will then divide up and head into the community to learn about and work with our community partners. We are excited to highlight Pastor Scott’s Inner-City Ministry\, CES (Community Emergency Service)\, Lutheran Social Services\, Minneapolis Crisis Nursery\, and Love INC (Love In the Name of Christ). Each has planned a meaningful service event to highlight their mission while inviting Mount Olivet to join in the fun. This day is family-friendly\, and we would love people of all ages to join us as we put faith into action and learn about and connect with our neighbors! Transportation from the church to the volunteer locations is on your own. DESCRIPTION:This is an overnight at the Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat center.  We will spend time eating good food\, playing fun games with the Jr. High Youth staff\, a special Communion service with our Pastors\, swimming\, hanging out with our high school counselors and of course Sacred Ground! \nDrop off time is 4:45pm on Friday and the pick up time is 10am on Saturday. \nOnly 18 boys and 18 girls can attend each retreat. Please register today because these fill up fast! \nNo electronics or phones allowed.  Please leave them at home. \nYou will need to pack a sleeping bag\, pillow\, swimsuit and towel (if you plan on swimming)\, toiletries and jammies. \nGet ready for a fun overnight!!

Individuals and groups of up to six volunteers cook on site and serve a meal and a snack. Minneapolis Crisis Nursery provides the recipe\, food\, and snack. All you need to do is arrive at the scheduled time and cook!\n \nTime commitment: 2-2.5 hours (which includes prep and clean-up)\nAge requirement: 12 years of age or older.
