SUMMARY:Fall Adult Group Voice Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand for a fall session!  \nWould you like to improve your singing this fall in a fun and approachable small group environment? Join us in October for MOSOMA’s Adult Group Voice Workshop! \nThis series of three classes\, led by veteran voice teacher Colleen O’Shaughnessy Pollack\, will focus on developing a tension-free\, open style of singing applicable to various musical genres. We will be singing\, stretching\, listening\, observing\, and performing. Singers of all abilities\, including beginners\, are welcome! \nIn this workshop\, we will: \n\nCover posture and breathing techniques for the solo singer\nParticipate in individualized vocal warm-ups\nLearn how to choose the right repertoire for your voice and goals\nImprove your vocal range and performance technique\nBuild confidence as a solo singer\nComplement your choral singing\nDip your toe into the world of voice lessons!\n\nClass Philosophy: \n\nThe expectation is progress\, not perfection!\nThe more open you can be to taking risks and learning\, the more your voice and performing ability will grow and improve throughout the course.\nRegardless of our different levels of vocal development\, we learn from each other as both singers and audience members.\n\nWithdrawals or cancellations after registration are non-refundable unless the minimum class size of four students is not met. Classes will take place at the Minneapolis Campus\, in the Choir Rehearsal Hall.

DESCRIPTION:This event is only for Chancel Choir singers.  \nJoin the Music Staff and the Youth Staff for a fun overnight at Gustavus Adolphus College. We will eat in the famous caf\, play games\, have a dive dance\, shop in the college bookstore\, and of course sing in Christ Chapel. Transportation provided from both campuses. We also give a SURPRISE Chancel Choir Apparel item!! \nChancel Choir Gustavus Retreat\nFriday\, November 7 through Saturday\, November 8\nMPLS Transportation: 4:30pm (Friday)-2pm (Saturday)\nWEST Transportation: 4:45pm (Friday)-2pm (Saturday) \nThe cost is $80 which includes all meals\, coach bus transportation\, and a Chancel Choir Retreat Sweatshirt.
