SUMMARY:Growing Through Grief
DESCRIPTION:Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one\, strained relationships\, the loss of dreams\, or more\, this day retreat will provide an opportunity for you to grow and heal. Experientially focused\, the day includes options for processing grief through music\, art\, movement\, prayer\, meditation\, and time in nature. In addition\, participants can meet briefly with a counselor\, spiritual director\, or pastor for support and consultation. \nA sliding scale fee allows you to pay what you can. Cost includes programming\, lunch\, beverage/snack bar throughout the day\, use of retreat center amenities (whirlpool\, sauna\, trails\, labyrinth\, etc.)\, and tax. Registration open now through April 6. No refunds after April 3. \n$100 \n\ncovers all costs and assists those who cannot pay full price\nincludes option to sign up for individual consultation\n\n$75 \n\ncovers most costs for this event\nincludes option to sign up for individual consultation\n\n$50 \n\ncovers some costs for this event\ndoes not include option to sign up for individual consultation\n\n  \nLeadership team: \nMary Lord\, MM\, MT-BC is a Board-Certified Music Therapist with a Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Music Therapy. At Grace Hospice she provides live music at the bedside for hospice patients and families\, helps coordinate bereavement sessions using music-focused interventions and is a passionate educator for the clinical use of music therapy in end-of-life care. \nNancy Loyd\, MA is the Grief Support Supervisor at Grace Hospice as well as a Certified Spiritual Director. Nancy has companioned others through serious illness\, end-of-life\, grief and transition for over 20 years. \nAllison Richards\, PhD\, LP is a licensed psychologist and the clinical director at Mount Olivet Counseling Center. She provides therapy to adults from a relational\, trauma-informed framework as she supports clients who are navigating various grief experiences. Prior to working at Mount Olivet\, Allison worked for many years at the Center for Grief and Loss in St. Paul\, MN. \nSara Watne\, MA\, LPCC is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. At Mount Olivet Counseling Service she provides individual therapy to children\, adolescents and adults as well as facilitates the grief support group\, “The First Years without Them.” \nRev. Kurt Kalland is Associate Pastor and Pastoral Adviser to the congregational care team at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. \nRev. Theresa F. Latini is executive director of Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA). \nRev. Jeremy Bork is program director at Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center\, an ordained minister in the Reformed Church in America\, and a Spiritual Director.

DESCRIPTION:The caregiving experience can be many things at once: rewarding\, challenging\, enlightening\, and overwhelming. Led by Sarah Strasen\, LICSW\, this group offers connection\, resources\, and encouragement for anyone currently in a caregiving role. In this time set apart from the day-to-day\, we will look for sources of hope\, resilience\, and compassion within ourselves and one another. \nThis group meets on the first and thirdly Thursdays of each month. \nNo registration is required\, please come when you are able.
