SUMMARY:Living the Message
DESCRIPTION:Stories That Shape Us \nThis year’s Living the Message will be co-taught by multiple Mount Olivet pastors who will each share a biblical story that has shaped them over the course of their lives. These are among their favorite stories\, but also more\, as they are the stories that have shaped our pastors’ sense of who God is\, what our lives as Christians can be like\, and how we can view the world differently because of the biblical witness. Our pastors will open up these passages in a way that they hope will allow these same powerful stories to shape you as well\, bolstering your faith\, renewing your sense of God’s presence in your life\, and inviting you to lives of greater meaning and purpose in light of God’s promises. Join us! \n\nOctober 7: 2 Kings 22: Know Your Story\, Know Yourself with Pastor Lose\nNovember 4: John 11: Lazarus Just Laid There with Pastor Dixon\nDecember 2: Ester 1\, 4: Vashti and Esther: For Such a Time as This with Theresa Latini\nJanuary 6: Genesis 1 and Isaiah 40: When Everything Is Lost: Exile and Creation with Pastor Grangaard\nFebruary 3: Genesis 50: “You Meant It For Evil” – God’s saving work in the face of suffering with Pastor Cieslik\nMarch 3: The Book of Job: No One Cares About Job Until They Need Job with Pastor Olson Popp\nApril 7: John 20:24-29: Resurrection Is Not Reversal: Doubting Thomas with Pastor Grangaard\nMay 5: John 21\, Mark 16: Just the Beginning… with Pastor Lose\n\n\nNEW THIS YEAR: Videos will be filmed live at the in-person presentation and emailed by the second Monday of the month. \n\nAll are welcome at any time!  \nQuestions? Contact Katie Stevenson\, Coordinator of Adult Education by email or at 612.767.2232.

SUMMARY:Friends Forever: Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a concert by the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie followed by lunch (off the menu) at Scoreboard. \nHere is a little information about the concert:\nThis one-hour concert bubbles with life\, from sparkling flutes to spirited strings. Featuring music that dances and delights\, the program highlights the lively energy of Baroque music\, including the virtuosic influences of Italian contemporaries like Scarlatti\, Geminiani and Corelli on the development of Bach. With a playful energy akin to a flute concerto\, Bach’s second orchestral suite\, one of the musical throughlines of our 2025.26 season is paired with Geminiani’s violin sonata. Originally written for violin and harpsichord\, this program features a new\, captivating arrangement by SPCO Concertmaster Steven Copes. Whether you’re new to Baroque music or a longtime fan\, this program offers an invigorating dose of beauty\, motion and joy.\n\nOur Express Concerts are 60-75 minutes of music without intermission. Learn more at thespco.org/express.

SUMMARY:MOCW Ladies' Night
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the MPLS Campus as we enjoy an amazing meal and hear from life-long Mount Olivet member\, Jill Palmquist. Jill is the Chief Story Telling Officer at Life Time and author of In This Lifetime. She has worked for Life Time for over 20 years and she helps people live healthy\, happy lives as a writer and strategist. With humor and candor\, she will offer some perspective on how we spend our time\, the choices we make every day\, and the effect those decisions make on your whole person. \nWhat Will You Do in Your Lifetime? In the average lifespan of 79 years\, you’ll spend approximately 90\,000 hours working\, 230\,000 sleeping\, 32\,000 eating and drinking. You may be somewhat surprised (actually\, horrified) to realize you might spend two years being bored\, 8 years in your car\, 3 years in a bad mood\, 100 days laughing\, and a whole year scratching something. These numbers highlight the profound significance of how we choose to spend our time. This evening will offer some thoughts on the choices you make that shape your hours\, days\, years and lives. \nWe are not able to offer refunds for cancellations after February 17.
