Meet Your Hi-League Presidents

Hello Mount Olivet Family! My name is Katie Ridler, I am going to be a senior at Chaska High School this coming fall and I am the new WEST Hi-League President for this upcoming year. I am very excited to welcome all the incoming 9th-graders to Hi-League as well as any new Hi-Leaguers from any grade!
I consider the greatest thing about Hi-League to be the coming together of people from high schools all over the metro area to participate in very fun, faith-based activities. You get the opportunity to reconnect with good friends you have made up at Cathedral of the Pines Camp and don’t get to see very often during the school year, as well as meet new people. Hi-League gives you the chance to bring a little of camp home during the school year and a little breather away from homework and the stresses of everyday life. Being involved in Mount Olivet as a high-schooler is important because it gives us a weekly reminder that God is with us always and teaches life lessons that we can carry out as young adults and can help us build confidence in ourselves due to the warm and welcoming environment. I hope everyone had a wonderful summer and I hope to see lots of new smiling faces at the first Hi-League this year! “Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:14

Greetings Mount Olivet! My name is Isabel St. Dennis and I am a senior at Edina High School. I have the honor to introduce myself as this year’s MPLS Hi-League president. To all the upcoming freshmen that will be joining Hi-League for the first time, I want to say welcome! It is such a rewarding and fun thing to be a part of. To me, Hi-League has the same feel as Cathedral of the Pines Camp. When it’s the dead of winter and school is tough, and all you want is to go to an evening chapel service, Hi-League is the place to go. Not only do you get to see your church friends, but you also get to experience God. As a senior, I understand the demands and responsibilities expected of students in high school. It’s sometimes difficult to find time for God during the school year, and sport seasons. However, I also have learned the importance of having a faith life during high school and the need for a healthy outlet to express yourself freely. Hi-League is exactly that. Along with being an active Hi-League member, I sing in Cathedral Choir, and participate in Circle of Friends and Kids Café. All of these things have led me to meet new people and make lifelong friends. I cannot wait to spend time with all of you, old and new, at Hi-League this upcoming year.
