The Barbary Coast Dixieland Band was elected to the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2001 and rated among the finest entertainers in the Midwest. The band has played everywhere — from the Mississippi paddlewheel boats and the Minnesota State Fair, to Nagasaki, Japan. Over the past 30+ years they have regularly provided musical ministry in churches involving over 40 Sundays each year. Their mission is to "Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord" and their music provides an uplifting experience for both the musicians and the congregation.

“Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness … So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them …God saw everything that he had made, and indeed it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.” – Genesis 1:26-27, 31

Thought for the Day: You are created in God’s image. God made you exactly as you are! Do you think God wants you to criticize His work, or be thankful and love His work?

Reflection Questions:

What is my favorite thing about my personality/soul?

What is my favorite thing about my body?

What part of me could use God’s love and forgiveness?

What would God say to me, His beloved child?

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to remember that You created me to be exactly as I am. You know everything about me, everything! And you love me! Help me to love myself too, Lord. Help me to remember that I am Your child. A child of God! Worthy of love and care and respect.
