inspired by Tommy Watson, who overcame tremendous obstacles, growing up in a crime-ridden neighborhood in Colorado.
He persevered and earned an athletic scholarship to play Big Ten football for the University of Minnesota, and is now a principal
in the Minnesota school system. He is joined by Darrell Thompson of Bolder Options, a local youth-mentoring program.
Both are athletes who are now making a positive difference for our young people today. You won't want to miss their

Mount Olivet Men's Breakfasts
Men's Breakfasts are an opportunity to
get together weekly to discuss current events, hear guest speakers or participate in Bible study. Reservations are not necessary
- come when you can. Cost: Pay for your own breakfast. Invite a friend and join us!

The Men of Mount Olivet are invited to join Pastor
Bakken for our annual Men’s Retreat on April 9-10, to be held at the Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center.
Our retreat will begin on Friday 6 pm and we will conclude on Saturday at noon. This is a great time to strengthen our spiritual
life through Biblical study as we take a moment away from stress of our schedules and focus our attention on all that God
has given to us. There will be time to explore the grounds of the Retreat Center, and relax with evening campfire, chance
to swim, and sauna.
The cost
for the weekend is $70/double occupany or $85/single occupancy which includes our meals. There are 16 spots available.
