Moving from Anxiety to Optimal Wellness
Back by popular demand! L. Read Sulik, MD, FAAP, DFAACAP, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Medical Officer, Praestan Health

Dr. Sulik is a dedicated, compassionate and caring physician and a transformational health care leader committed to the vision, design, development and delivery of the innovations needed to truly improve health for all age individuals, families and communities. As a pediatrician, child and adolescent psychiatrist, and adult psychiatrist, he recognizes the complexities of health and wellness, and how behavioral health needs create significant barriers for individuals to actively engage in their own health care while contributing to poor and costly outcomes in chronic health conditions.

You will come to understand the Fight, Flight and Freeze response and how chronic stress, trauma and anxiety can lead to systemic health, and cognitive, emotional and behavioral problems. Dr. Sulik will teach through stories and examples and help us to understand how individuals with anxiety are so easily misinterpreted, misunderstood and misdiagnosed. He will review approaches to prepare an individuals to change the conditioned patterns that often develop as a result of chronic anxiety and will introduce a framework for a personal health and wellness transformation.

All are welcome to join us for Dr. Read Sulik’s presentation on Saturday, February 10th from 9-noon. The doors will open at 8:30 with a continental breakfast and resource tables. Cost is $15 and registration is necessary. You can register and pay online at www.mtolivet.org, or call Andrea Brown at 612-767-2209, andreab@mtolivet.org.

Participation certificates will be available.
This event is sponsored by the Mount Olivet Pastoral Care Department, Mount Olivet Mental Health Task Force and Mount Olivet Parish Nurse Committee.
