4th and 5th Graders!

Join the Band and Orchestra!
This fun musical after school program is for 4th and 5th graders who are beginners or who have some experience playing an instrument.  Students learn to play their instruments in sectionals and as large groups. Instruction includes general music concepts which are reinforced through games and group activities.

Classes are held at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church on Thursdays from 3:45-5:15pm

Thursday, Sept. 23 - First day of band and orchestra

Thursday, Oct. 14 - No band or orchestra (school release day)

Thursday, Nov. 25 - No band or orchestra (Thanksgiving Day)

Dec. 20 - Jan. 5, 2011 - Winter Break

Thursday, January 20 - Band "See How Far We've Come" Concert, 3:30 pm, Fellowship Hall at Mount Olivet

Thursday, January 27 - Orchestra "January Strings Showcase", 3:45 pm, Fellowship Hall at Mount Olivet

Thursday, March 24 - No band or orchestra (Spring Break)

Thursday, April 21 - No band or orchestra

Thursday, May 5 - Last day of band and orchestra

Tuesday, May 10 - Final band and orchestra concert, 1:00 and 6:30 pm at Burroughs Community School

Tuition:

With student-provided instrument: $375 for the school year
